A collaboration between Disney and the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Once Upon a Wish Party brings 50 Wish Kids and their families to Walt Disney World for two immersive days of becoming Disney Princesses. Working with Disney Live Entertainment and Public Affairs, members of our team helped shape the year-two narrative and guest experience, evolving the inaugural event with more personalized moments inspired by the Princess mantra, “Live Your Story.”

The experience followed a new story arc guiding each child toward a royal coronation, realized through bespoke moments including exclusive character dining, custom dress fittings, interactive shows with priority IP, and a Broadway-style coronation ball. Every element reinforced identity, agency, and joy, culminating in a moment where Wish Kids were crowned by their parents.

Despite an aggressive timeline, a focused narrative unified creative, production, and talent teams, resulting in an event that set a new global benchmark for Make-A-Wish experiences.

We didn't design an event. We built a structure that allowed children to author their own story—and gave families a moment they could hold onto long after the crowns came off.
