A Workshop Like No Other
Like fine spirits, good stories are a distillate of diverse ingredients perfected through craft and age. They saturate the senses of their enjoyers, intensifying passions and emotions. When shared, they can engender community that endures long after the bottle is dry or the book is closed. Both strong tipple and strong tales are effectuated through processes refined over millennia. Prohibition Era bootleggers proved that making powerful spirits is not the exclusive province of distilleries. Neither is telling powerful stories reserved for writers, filmmakers, or artists.
Speakeasy Storytelling is our effort to democratize the process of narrative design for the small business, the local nonprofit, and the entrepreneur. Apprenticed under master storytellers Liz Sánchez Rasking and Jared D. Wells, you will learn how to distill the raw elements of your organization’s brand into a 100-proof narrative that fortifies your culture, focuses your communication, and turns transactions into transformations. Six hours of narrative-driven exercises honed at The Walt Disney Company, Lucasfilm, and other storytelling giants will enable you to:
Effectively assess the performance of your brand’s current story
Identify the underleveraged “ingredients” to your brand’s story
Map the ideal “hero’s journey” for your customers and employees
Use narrative to standardize your service culture & create customer fandom
Plan a grounding narrative framework for your marketing efforts
Seating is intentionally intimate. Only 24 guests will be admitted to the parlor. The first eight to register can claim a Founder's Seat, and two exclusive VIP experiences are available for those who prefer their storytelling with a little extra proof.
A fine catered lunch and other refreshments are included.
And, yes… there will be booze.
